North Ferriby is a village on the north bank of the Humber estuary about eight miles west of Hull. It lies in an area long settled and came into existence with the arrival of the Danes. Ferriby Priory was built in the 12th century by The Knights Templars and later demolished in the 16th century. There are several shops and Ferriby station is on the Selby line.
