Twyford : Twyford is a market town with an attractive high street about five miles northeast of Reading just south of the Old A4. Its name comes from 'place at the double ford' referring to the fords crossing the Rivers Thames and Loddon at this point. There are excellent walks alongside these rivers and the Old River runs by the Nature Reserve and Charvil Country Park. Leisure facilities in the area are very good with a golf course nearby, tennis club and sports centre.
Cusack House is situated off Bourne Lane to the northeast of the village centre.
