Church Crookham is in north-east Hampshire to the south-west of Fleet and was named after Christ Church which was consecrated in the 19th century. The original village was known as Crookham and was much larger than its neighbour Fleet which subsequently expanded with the coming of the railways. The Basingstoke Canal passes through the village. Church Crookham is remembered for having the only successful tobacco plantation in the country situated off Redfields Lane.
