Spixworth is a popular village about five miles north of Norwich with a range of shops and services including a doctor's surgery and a dentist.
Norwich was the most important city in East Anglia for a long time. At the time of Domesday it had a population of 5000 with about 700 Burgesses, over 2000 sheep and one goshawk. Since that time it has remained a leading provincial city with the greatest concentration of medieval churches in Europe together with its magnificent cathedral and imposing castle.
