Marple Bridge is an attractive village about five miles east of Stockport. As the name suggests it developed as a crossing point on the River Goyt and has had several bridges over the years. It expanded in the 18th century when a new corn mill was built and today the village centre has been designated a conservation area. Marple station is on the Hope Valley Line with trains to Manchester and Sheffield.
Facilities include non-resident management and emergency alarm service.
