Retirement Properties Spotlight in Llangollen

Llangollen is situated on the River Dee taking its name from Saint Collen who founded a church here in the 6th century. The town serves the surrounding agricultural area and sits below Castell Dinas Bran, a medieval castle on the site of an Iron Age hillfort in the ancient Kingdom of Powys. Today the town is a popular tourist destination for river enthusiasts and international canoe events are held on the river. The Llangollen International Eisteddfod is held each year and the Llangollen Fringe Festival is held in July.
