Fitzwarren House is a development of 16 retirement apartments within the grounds of The Highgate Nursing Home off Hornsey Lane and close to Highgate high street. Ideally situated on the edge of Highgate Village the development is within walking distance of all the village amenities including a variety of shops and restaurants and is close to good public transport. Waterloo Park is close at hand with its many footpaths, lakes and wildlife.

Facilities: As a resident of Fitzwarren House you have exclusive access to the gardens which are well maintained throughout the year. There you can receive guests and sit in a peaceful setting with its mature trees and ornamental pond. You also have use of the residents communal lounge and conservatory with a small kitchen where you can host tea parties or meet with the other residents for coffee mornings. The service charge includes a house manager who works 5 days a week and who has excellent local knowledge, flat cleaning services twice a week, window cleaning quarterly and a 24 hour care line in case of emergency.

Because they are adjacent to BUPA‘s ‘Highgate‘ Nursing Home they are also able to make full use of the optional services available at the Nursing Home within the comfort of their own home. BUPA‘s Assisted Living Service is designed to provide neighbourly day to day assistance and in addition, varying levels of nursing and domiciliary care can be organised if required.

The level of care depends entirely on residents needs - 24 hour  emergency cover provides the peace of mind most people are looking for but for those who are less mobile a personalised care package can be provided. The basic service charge is inclusive of 24 hour emergency cover and additional services such as meals, cleaning, laundry and physiotherapy can be bought as required. There are also well maintained gardens which offer a delightful place to spend a warm summer‘s afternoon with friends and relatives and car parking facilities are also available.

Located near Highgate Village there are several bus routes that take you into the centre of London or to neighbouring boroughs. There is also a Northern Line tube station, within a 5-minute walk, meaning that a short hop away are the cultural delights of the Southbank or Tottenham Court Road for access to the theatres and shops of the West End.
