HISTORY

An important trading town in northern Europe as early as the seventeenth century, Southampton has a rich heritage. Its deep water port ensured its place in Maritime history. Henry V assembled his army here before invading France and the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America in the seventeenth century. The Maritime museum is housed in a 14th Century warehouse.

Communications
