The surrounding countryside has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is excellent walking country with numerous paths and ways including the North Downs Way, the Greensand Way, the Wey South Path, and the Downs Link. Winkworth Arboretum with its well marked trails covering almost 100 acres of wooded National Trust hillsides is just to the south of the village. In summer months canal boat trips can be taken along the River Wey between Godalming and Guildford.

Godalming has a Sainsburys and a Waitrose supermarket, a fitness centre and several restaurants whilst Guildford has two theatres, a cinema, department stores and most of the major retailers. The Guildford Spectrum leisure centre is located just off the A3.

Town

Bramley village is situated approximately three miles south of Guildford along the A281 and five miles north of Cranleigh and has shops and services for everyday requirements as well as a number of good pubs and restaurants. Guildford's historic high street has the Westfield Shopping Centre as well as many independent retailers and numerous restaurants, coffee shops and bars. There is a vibrant theatre scene with venues such as The Electric Theatre and Yvonne Arnaud Theatre and interesting places to visit including fine art galleries, museums and Guildford Cathedral. The town has excellent sporting facilities including the Spectrum Leisure Centre and the Surrey Sports Park.

 

Facilities include an emergency alarm system and communal gardens. The centre of Bramley is about a mile away.

Communications

Bramley village is situated approximately three miles south of Guildford along the A281 and five miles north of Cranleigh. The Guildford-Cranleigh bus route travels through Bramley and other local villages. Shalford Station is less than two miles away and fast trains to London (Waterloo) take approximately 45 minutes from here. The A3 at Guildford provides easy access to London and the M25.
