Sidcup has good shopping and recreational facilities with two sports clubs nearby, tennis courts and bowling greens and several golf courses in the area. A new supermarket is situated just off The Green, a short walk from the development.
The Park is opposite The Green, an attractive open space leading down to the Parish Church of St John The Evangelist adjacent to the high street. The church is used for concerts, exhibitions and other Borough events. The glass in the window of the east chancel was designed by Sir Ninian Comper after the church received damage from a V2 rocket in 1945. |
