Reigate is a very popular town with good shops and communications suurounded by beautiful countryside. William the Conqueror gave William de Warenne land in Surrey and his son built a castle just south of the North Downs Way. Later the same family caused a town to be built below the castle walls though little of the castle remains save for its mound and the caves beneath with medieval tunnels above which are the Castle Grounds.

The High Street is long and twisting with many good shops and Redhill town centre with a larger range of shops is easily accessible being less than a mile and has a railway station which provides an excellent service to London (London Bridge and Victoria approximately half an hour). Redhill Common has wide open spaces leading on to Redhill and Reigate Golf Club.

The M25 motorway( Reigate Hill, Junction 8) is within two miles and links with other major motorway networks in the south of the country. Gatwick Airport is within seven miles.
