Courtlands is situated to the north of the high street off New Street close to shops in the centre of Lymington.

The town has a long and attractive high street leading down to the harbour with Georgian houses and shops reflecting the prosperity of this part of Hampshire in the 18th century. Pier Station is the main terminal for the Isle of Wight car and passenger ferries.

Lymington is on the south coast about 15 miles south of Southampton. New Milton is about seven miles and Brockenhurst five miles. The M27 at J1 is about 12 miles. Fast trains to London (Paddington) take just under two hours.
