Oak Tree Place is set just behind Church Place in Fortescue Fields off the High Street in Philip St Norton, Somerset.

Oak Tree Place and Church View are part of Fortescue Fields to the south-west of the village. The apartments have shared communal gardens with allocated parking spaces and there is an estate manager's office nearby.

Norton St Philip is recorded as Nortune in Domesday and had a mill, pigs, sheep and cattle. In the middle ages the village became prosperous with the wool trade  and the George Inn was the village's wool store for the priory at Hinton Chaterhouse and also housed the merchants coming to the fairs. In the 17th century 12 executions took place in Churchmead following the failed Monmouth Rebellion. The rebels with a force of possibly 5000 men ambushed the Royal Army in Norton St Philip and got the upper hand.

Bradford on Avon is about five miles to the north-east and Bath about seven miles to the north. Trowbridge is about five miles and Frome six miles.
