There are also many interesting places to visit with Lydiard Park and Barnsley House nearby; and ancient monuments such as the Uffington White Horse and Barbury Castle.

Highworth is about five miles north of Swindon and about three miles from the main A419 which py-passes Swindon to the east. Faringdon is about five miles and Cirencester 13 miles. Lechlade is about five miles. The M4 at J15 is about seven miles. Fast trains to London (Paddington) take about an hour.
