Janeva Court in Burraton is situated off the Liskeard Road about a mile from the centre of Saltash. The development consists of 23 apartments together with communal facilities and adjoins Burraton Methodist Church.

Saltash was originally recorded as 'Ash' with the addition of 'Salt' being made in the fourteenth century to reflect local production of salt. The town is set on a hillside of the Tamar estuary opposite Plymouth connected by the famous Prince Albert Bridge.

The town's market was established by the count of Mortain in the eleventh century and the town prospered as a port sending a frigate against the Armada. The fisheries for which the town was famous eventually declined and Saltash Luck refers to the poor catches off Saltash Bridge.

Saltash is about four miles north-west of Plymouth across Prince Albert Bridge built by Brunel. Liskeard is about 12 miles and Tavistock 14 miles. Fast trains to London (Paddington) take about three hours.
