The development has a house manager and 24 hour Careline. Residents benefit from a residents' lounge and a communal laundry room. There is a lift to all floors and there is a guest suite that can be reserved for visitors.
Redhill is a recent settlement and seems to derive its name from 'red slope' and lies just to the east of Reigate. It is situated at a junction of the A23 and A25 roads and the veteran London to Brighton car rally runs through the town each year. The whole area is now largely built up and the town expanded rapidly with the coming of the railways in the 19th century and Redhill railway station continues to be an important junction today.
The town has most high street names including Sainsburys and WH Smith amongst others and the main shopping precinct is pedestrianised. In the 2nd World War its airfield was an important RAF station linking with Biggin Hill to the north-east. London Gatwick is about seven miles to the south on the A23.
