The town is still expanding today with considerable new development to the northwest. There are many interesting places to visit nearby including the White Horse, Waylands' Smithy and Uffington Castle.

There are good transport links from Priory Village with the bus stop and Thamesdown Drive located nearby. The centre of Swindon is about two miles from Junction 15 of the M4. Marlborough is about ten miles and Bristol a little over 40 miles. Fast trains to London (Paddington) take less than an hour.
