Timsbury is a thriving large village which, for the second year running, has been voted the best large village in the district -CPRE Village of the Year 2002 Competition. With a population of 2,500 and an active Parish Council, the village has numerous clubs and societies and regular events in the Conygre Hall. A few miles north of Timsbury is Bath. Bath is a particularly beautiful city which stands on the River Avon. Famous for its sweeping Georgian crescents, Roman baths and unique heritage, Bath is superbly situated between two areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Cotswolds and the Mendip Hills.
