Description:

Three bedroom end of terrace cottage. To the left of the entrance hall is a small study with a window to the front and a downstairs cloakroom. The kitchen is at the end of the hallway and has modern wall and floor units with a built in oven and hob. There is a part-glazed door out to the rear garden and a door through to the dining room. To the right of the entrance hall is the large sitting room which has double doors leading into the dining room creating a flexible, living and entertaining space. There are French doors from the dining room into the conservatory and there is access from here out to the private rear garden. The property has electric storage heating and double glazing throughout and a partially boarded loft, accessed via a folding ladder, provides useful extra storage.

Situation:

AllCourt is set around a traditional village green created to mark the millennium, close to the centre of the market town of Lechlade-on-Thames. A typical Cotswold scene has been created with 20 individually styled homes. There are two apartments, 17 cottages and Allcourt Farmhouse, a modernised 17th century cottage, typical of the yeoman farmers‘ cottages found along the limestone hills of England. The houses are built in local stone, combining the appearance and feel of a cottage, with spacious accommodation and the modern facilities of a contemporary house. Most of the cottages have sun rooms and all have a garage.

Further information:

As with all Beechcroft developments Allcourt is thoughtfully designed and beautifully laid out. Imaginatively landscaped gardens house a range of plants to provide interest in every season. The old Cirencester road, now a public path flanked by tipstones, runs to the north of the meadow. Here is the likely site of the large house of ‘All Court‘ owned by Peter atte Hall in the 14th century and from which the present development takes its name.

Lechlade is on the south-western edge of the Cotswolds and probably gets its name from the bridge which was built in medieval times to provide a crossing of the Thames near where it meets the River Leech, and within a piece of land known as the Lade. There are many places of interest nearby and Bath, Oxford and Cheltenham are all easily accessible with their wide range of theatres, museums and art galleries. There are golf courses at Cirencester, Burford and Highworth. Polo at Cirencester Park and racing at Cheltenham and Newbury.

Communications:

Lechlade-on-Thames is the highest navigable point for boats on the River Thames. The Roman town of Cirencester lies 12 miles to the west. Fairford is about five miles and Faringdon eight miles. Swindon is eleven miles away and offers an excellent inter-city train service to London (Paddington) in less than an hour. Road communications in the area are good with a series of main truck roads connecting at Cirencester.
