Hove is home to Sussex county cricket ground with many good parks and gardens, art galleries and museums in the town. The British Engineerium was formerly the pumping station supplying fresh water to the towns but is now devoted to to the history of engineering. The King Alfred Sports Centre on the sea-front has two swimming pools, a restaurant, sports facilities and a children's playground. There is a lagoon for canoes.
Brighton has a flourishing cultural centre with the Theatre Royal, arts festivals and concerts in the Dome. It is one of Britains leading resorts famed for the Royal Pavilion built for the Prince Regent . |
